Fabulous Face Masks that will Revive + Revitalise your Skin

I love a good face mask, and although I rarely take the time to have the ritual of applying and then relaxing, I apply a face mask at least once a week to treat my skin. Sometimes I use a mask to loosen dead skin cells to reveal a brighter complexion as with the Oskia or Tata Harper mask. When I need an overall boost, I go for the Bio Retinol Gold mask. For dull and dry skin I look to an enzyme or peel mask. Remember you can always use an intense multi-use balm ( like the Nini Infinity) or oil (such as raw organic coconut ) as a hydrating mask - leave on for 10 minutes and wipe off.

I tend to hask 2 x per week, but I alternate and change. I love a radiance or renewal mask at least once a week, the other mask often depends on the time of year. Deeply nourishing in winter, lightly hydrating in summer.

General Mask Types

Cleansing Mask: deeper cleansing to clear out pores or congested skin. These are generally good if you have oilier skin, have visible pores/blackheads, or wear a lot of makeup.

Hydrating Mask: Lighter Gel textured masks to replenish the water content in your skin. Good for after sun/holiday, wind burn,  when your skin feels tight.

Moisture Mask: For dryer more mature skin, replenish the surface of your skin with oils or protect overnight to replenish the skin

Renewal Mask: Acid Exfoliator like AHA or Enzymes are used to gently remove dead skin cells from the top layer of skin and this also can help with congested pores. Mainly for when skin feels dull/ lacklustre.
