Beautiful Bath + Body Products to take time for yourself

The Body Care Edit

Take time for yourself with small rituals to come back to your center

Take Some Time for self Caring+ Self Love

We talk a lot about self-care these days and I always distinguish between self-care and self-caring. To me, the first is about the psychological decisions around protecting your energy like setting boundaries or turning your phone off. These are bigger and long term acts of choosing yourself first. For more on this, go to Balance by Tahira - My platform for confidence in midlife.

Self-caring acts are the loving rituals we perform FOR OURSELVES to reinforce our self-love, and our desire to be kind and give to ourselves first, before filling everyone else’s cup. These rituals are focused on caring for our bodies and minds. We are all super busy and have many life stresses, but having a moment in time, where you pay attention to your wants and needs in a focused way, can be that little gift to bring you back to your centre - allowing you to return home.

Below is a selection of bodycare products that are gifts to your body mind and soul.

A Small indulgence doesn’t have to be big

Indulging in some extra care during your shower can be enough! I love my skincare, but bath and body care is just so luscious, and I recommend treating yourself to something you would normally buy as a gift for others. Maybe it’s a luxurious body oil like the STUNNING Nerra Beauty Dry Body Oil which I love soooo much.

It doesn’t have to be much or big, but just taking in the scents and textures of your favourite bath and body products can help calm and re-energize at the same time. Mauli Rituals Bath Salts and Sleep Range ( more on Mauli Here) are soooo relaxing. Neals Yard Remedies are a constant in my bathroom and have been for many years, from the bath oils, through to hand lotions! And if you are olive-toned like me- and winter has got our skin going green, try the Evolve Organics Sunless Tan for a little warmth!

Conscious All the Way

You can also get many products for the bath in larger refills like my favorite Verveine Foaming Bath by L’Occitane . I also love either refilling at my local zero-waste shop or getting larger formats, up to 5L to refill with. I often buy these online in the UK at The Ethical Superstore. You could also go for solid bar options, which I have not included here as there are so many! Websites like Aromanic.com or Naturally Balmy have lots of large format basic oils like Almond oil for budget-conscious personal care.

TOP TIPS: My skin is notoriously dry, I use body butter or often mix a body lotion like the Weleda Skin Food Body Lotion with body oil like the beautiful Liha Idan Oil for extra hydration. Alternatively, for extra nourishing (like your skin will be so baby-soft after) apply an oil directly to wet skin and massage it in, and then dry it. You want to use a nice rich oil like the Mauli Surrender for this.
